A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING A TRANSFER OF MONIES FROM THE GENERAL FUND TO THE PARK FUND, AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY
WHEREAS, the Park Fund account is in need of additional funds to pay ongoing Park expenses, specifically, general operating expenses, and also is in need of reimbursement from the General Fund for operating expenses and improvement expenses in 2020, in the amount of $20,000.00. and operating expenses and improvement expenses for 1st quarter 2021, in the amount of $5,000.00
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the Village of Killbuck, two-thirds or more of the members elected thereto concurring, that:
Section 1. Council hereby authorizes the transfer of $25,000.00 from the General Fund account to the Park Fund account for payment of ongoing Park operating expenses, and for reimbursement of Park operating expenses and improvements in 2020 & 2021, in the amount of $25,000.00.
Section 2. This Resolution is hereby declared to be an emergency measure and shall take effect and be in force immediately from and after its passage. The reason for the emergency is that this Resolution is necessary for the immediate preservation of public peace, health, safety and welfare, and for the further reason that immediate passage is necessary to adequately fund the Park Fund account for timely payment of Park expenses.
Section 3. All prior resolutions which conflict with the provisions of this Resolution are hereby repealed to the extent that they are in conflict herewith.
Section 4. If any provision of this Resolution, or the application thereof to any person or circumstance, is held invalid, the invalidity does not affect other provisions or applications of this Resolution which can be given effect without the invalid provision or application, and to this end the provisions are severable.
Passed at a regular meeting of the Killbuck Village Council duly convened with a quorum present this 3rd day of May, 2021.
