AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND ORDINANCE NO. 2021-18 AND INCREASE THE COMPENSATION AND SALARY OF A VILLLAGE EMPLOYEE, AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY
WHEREAS, the Council of the Village of Killbuck wishes to increase the compensation and salary of Village employee Clay Shepler, Assistant- Street Commissioner & Water/Sewer, to properly compensate said employee in the Village.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED, by the Council of the Village of Killbuck, Holmes County, Ohio:
SECTION 1. Council hereby amends Section 1(C) of Ordinance No. 2021-18 as it pertains only to the Assistant- Street Commissioner & Water/Sewer to increase the pay per hour from $17.00 per hour to $17.51 per hour, effective January 25, 2022.
SECTION 2. All other provisions of Ordinance No. 2021-18 shall remain in full force and effect. All prior ordinances or resolutions or any part thereof, which are inconsistent with this Ordinance are hereby repealed as to the inconsistent parts therefore and the remainder of said ordinances or resolutions not inconsistent with this Ordinance shall remain in full force and effect.
SECTION 3. It is hereby found and determined that all formal actions of this Council concerning and relating to the passage of this Ordinance were adopted in an open meeting of this Council, and that all deliberations of this Council that resulted in such formal action were in meetings open to the public in compliance with all legal requirements, including Section 121.22 of the Ohio Revised Code. This Ordinance shall take effect and be in force from and after the earliest period prescribed by law. This Ordinance is hereby declared to be a retroactive emergency measure necessary for the immediate preservation of the public peace, health, and safety, such emergency arising from the need to increase the pay as set forth in this Ordinance effective January 25, 2022 (the current pay period). Accordingly, this Ordinance shall be in full force and effect effective January 25, 2022.
