Killbuck Village Council met in regular session on November 1, 2023 at 7:00 pm in the Village Hall 138 S Main Street Killbuck, OH 44637 with Rick Allison presiding.

Guests: Steve Johnson, Tim Stryker
Steve Johnson candidate for Holmes County Commissioner came to introduce himself and see what the needs are of the village
Lieutenant Tim Stryker, Holmes County Sheriff Department gave some updates concerning some crimes and ongoing investigations within the village. The council and Mayor voiced some of their concerns and he will check into them.

Discussion: Ted Thorpe made a motion to approve the minutes from October 18, 2023, Dick Patterson seconded, with all others approving, motion carried.

Approval of Bills: Approval of Bills: Ted Thorpe made a motion to pay current bills in the amount of $74,881.36 Tyler McCombs seconded, with all others approving, motion carried.

Ted Thorpe made a motion to approve the October bank reconciliation, fund, revenue, appropriation, payroll and accounts payable, Tyler McCombs seconded, with all others approving, motion carried.

Discussion: Leaf pick up has started. Steve will be on vacation from October 26 – November 6.

Discussion: Park is shut down and the water is off.

Discussion: Mike has been looking for a place to store the Jet Vac and hasn’t had much luck. Called Atlee with Harvest Ridge Construction and he gave a rough estimate to construct a basic addition in the amount of $12,000.00. After some discussion Ted Thorpe made a motion to authorize the construction, Lisa Kauffman seconded, with all others approving, motion carried.

She has been in contact with Max Miller concerning the CIC loan, she will follow up to see where he is in the process.
Gave council an update concerning HB 33 and the amendments to the income tax ordinance.
