Killbuck Village Council met in regular session on July 19, 2021 at 7:00 pm in the Village Hall 138 S Main Street Killbuck, OH 44637 with Rick Allison presiding. Denny Hahn absent.

Street Report:

Representative’s Name: Steve Patterson

Discussion: Have gravel coming from Monte Rohr. Will spray for mosquito on Wednesday or Thursday. Waiting to fix grant street, some alleys and the quick check parking lot, will try to grade them in the next couple of weeks.  Township is going to chip & seal Tressel alley since that is what the use to access their equipment.  Can’t get marking paint, yellow is complete out, Linda has contacted Holmes rental.  Catch basin on Railroad street is in bad shape.  Would like to work with the Township guys to complete the sign grant work will need to rent a post hole driver.  Will work on raising the Welcome to Killbuck sign on SR 60.  Rick Allison and council Thanked Steve for stepping up and taking on the roll of Street Commissioner with the absences of Brian Rippeth. Ted Thorpe made a motion for Steve to purchase a miter saw, Travis Scott seconded.

Park Report:

Representative’s Name: Rick Allison

Discussion: Dugouts are painted.  Toilet is almost tore out again in the concession stand restroom.  After some discussion council said to post signs that the restrooms are currently closed until further notice due to vandalism and will be opened for special events.  Also post 24 hour surveillance camera signs.  Have ten teams signed up for fall league.  Still working on sign for flag pole will also do some landscaping around flag pole. 

Sewer / Water Report:

Representative’s Name: Linda Campbell

Discussion: The property owner at 225 N Railroad street (old equity building) was working on some improvements and a new water meter got thrown away, Mike spoke with them and they have agreed to pay for meter.  This was discovered due to the down spouts not hooked up properly they are now hooked to the storm sewers correctly.  Big tree is removed.

Topic: Killbuck Early American Days

Discussion: Linda spoke with Linda Wilcox and the will be holding Killbuck Early American days on Saturday and Sunday September 4th and 5th.  Steve will make contact with Linda concerning what she will need from the village. Resident called to inform Rod Arnold that someone was trying to break into the restrooms.  Council can-not stress enough that all residents when they see something need to call the Sheriff’s office. There is a speed issue on Mark Avenue, Allison Avenue and Mullet Drive.  Linda will contact Tim Stryker.  Dogs at N Railroad property Linda will contact Tim Stryker.
