Discussion: Got pot holes patched in the parking lot by Quick Check. Still unable to get paint for curbs and crosswalks, Ted Thorpe suggested contacting Tim Morris from Holmes County building and grounds (he will discuss with Bob Spurgeon before contacting Tim). Took trees down from storm damage.

Representative’s Name: Rick Allison

Discussion: The rope on the ladder has been replaced. Received prices on benches for in memory of Kauffman 500.00 and for the poly 600.00. The scoreboard on field three will be in memory of Brian Rippeth and the scoreboard on field two will be in memory of Rick Day. Rick Allison ordered two trees from Grasshopper in memory of Brian and gave a 220.00 donation to the village for said purchase.

After reviewing the village zoning for VR (Village Resident district) concerning home occupations, Mr. Gauiter meets the requirements and council gave their blessing and welcomed him to Killbuck. Mr. Pahoundis stopped in to ask permission to put an enclosure around the storage container. After some discussion council agreed as long as the enclosure is on all four sides it would be permitted. New Business:

Topic: Property Issues
Presented By: Council/Mayor

Discussion: Elm Service Station letter for grass/weeds. Upper Railroad Street (Steve Horn) mobile home. After some discussion concerning the vegetation on Railroad Street bank, council gave approval to Steve to discuss the township mowing it with their arm mower. Steve will contact Dennis.

Mayor Hahn recommended that council appoint Steve Patterson to the position of Street Commissioner. Rick Allison made the motion to appoint Steve Patterson to the position of Street Commissioner, Gary Wagers seconded, with all others approving.

The fiscal officer presented the mayor and council with a job description for the new position. The fiscal officer will advertise the position and applications will be taken until September 27th at 4:00pm or until the position is filled.

The ceremony in memory of Brian at the Early American Days was very nice. Brian will truly be missed by council, the mayor, fellow employees and the community.

Ted Thorpe inquired about the fire at 1030 N Main Street. There is an ongoing investigation and the fire marshal stated that the crime scene is contaminated. Due to the walls and exterior being taken down.

Fiscal Officer received a form from the Holmes County Treasurer to fill out concerning the trailer on 1030 N Main Street. Ted Thorpe made a motion to authorize the fiscal officer to complete and file it, Rick Allison seconded, with all others approving, motion carried.
