Discussion: Dick Patterson made a motion to approve the minutes from July 5, 2023, Tyler McCombs seconded, motion carried.

Approval of Bills: Tyler McCombs made a motion to pay current bills in the amount of $89,690.96 Cindy Miller seconded, with all others approving, motion carried.

Discussion: Reviewed the 2024 budget. Dick Patterson made a motion to approve and submit to the county auditor, Cindy Miller seconded, motion carried.

Street Report:
Representative’s Name: Steve Patterson
Discussion: Distributed fliers for the street sweeping on July 26th will start at 4:00AM. Put new risers on the catch basins. Got 4 tons of asphalt for patching potholes. Going to leave the banners up for Labor Day. Going to run a 1 pitch softball tournament at the park on August 19th to benefit the Hometown Heroes.

Discussion: Had a transponder issue at the water tower. Installed a new one on July 18 and it still is having issues called for a service call and they will be here on July 24. Still working with CUSI on the new portals

Citizens Comments & Guest:
These citizens came to voice their concerns about fireworks being set off within the village. Some discussion took place and Linda will forward to Julie for review.
Rod Mohler also voiced his concerns about the trees at the Leonard Moore property. Council let him know that there have been several complaints and it is going to be addressed.
Ann Stotler also thanked the street commissioner for picking up her debris and wanted to let the council know that the park looks great.
