Street Report:

Representative’s Name: Steve Patterson

Discussion:  Spring clean up is set for April 20-23.  Presented council with an estimate to get the village hall painted in the amount of $6,400.00 from Gorilla Painting. After some discussion Ted Thorpe made a motion to proceed, Cindy Miller seconded, with all others approving, motion carried Erica and Steve will review the paint color options.

Park Report:

Representative’s Name: Rick Allison

Discussion: The sign was installed for ARC the contractor who donated the labor for the Brian Rippeth pavilion.  Park board meeting will be scheduled.  The tree at the entrance is dead and needs to be removed.

Sewer / Water Report:

Representative’s Name: Mayor / Julie Dreher / Linda Campbell

Discussion: Met with the Thrasher group concerning the Master Service Agreement and some of the language.  Julie explained the concerns the village has with the liability amounts spelled out in the agreement and Steve stated that there was an error and he will review and send over a revised version with the corrected amounts for the village’s review. Still working on the income survey letters.

Discussion: Julie will look at the initial letter that is sent to residents and revise it.  The revision is to include more language that the council wants to work with them to come to a solution so that all parties are satisfied with the process.

Discussion:  After further investigation into the incident, the council and solicitor decided to reach out to the Holmes County Dog Warden and see if he would be willing to come to a meeting to inform them of the incident and what the protocol is for dog bites and the registration of a dangerous dog.

Discussion: The council and mayor would like to post no thru truck signs at the school zone. Ted Thorpe made a motion to post 4 “No thru Truck Signs” Lisa Kauffman seconded, with all others approving, motion carried.

Discussion: Ladies night out will be March 17 with many activities throughout the village.  The library auction will be April 22.

Topic: Permissive tax money

Discussion: The village has $59,618.27 sitting in their permissive tax money held by the County Auditor and requires the approval of the County Engineer for disbursements.  After some discussion Ted Thorpe made a motion to use some of the permissive money for our share for the street project, Cindy Miller seconded, with all others approving, motion carried. Linda will send an email to Chris Young, County Engineer for approval.
