Street Report:
Representative’s Name: Steve Patterson
Discussion: Met with Kingsway concerning an estimate for East Grant Street. Also had them look at the catch basin on Water Street that they previously installed with the West Grant Street project. They agreed to fix it at no charge to the village. Got the new brackets for the banners, approximately $30.00 a piece. The mosquito sprayer will get tested and re-calibrated, if needed on May 22. Still working on the street sweeper.
Park Report:
Representative’s Name: Rick Allison
Discussion:The shrubs at the park were trimmed and they are blooming. Nothing from Maple Valley Fence, coming to re-do the outfield fence. Micah Martin will come sometime in June/July to do the flag pole area. Pepsi contacted Rick last week concerning the pop machine but still hasn’t delivered it. 12U is hosting the little league tournament at Killbuck. Scoreboards on field 2 and 3 are not working, Dick Patterson reported that Brad McCluggage stated to him that they were running them off of batteries due to the cords missing. Steve stated that the cords are there. Rick will check into this. Added a lock box on building at field 2. Added sand to field 3.

The delinquent letters to the properties that transferred prior to a lien being filed went out. Hopefully we will receive some form of payment.

Prior Business:
Discussion: Received the Appalachia grant in the amount of $5.7 million. At this point we are unclear what will actually be improved. Linda will reach out to OHM, Michelle Wood and Holley Johnson to see if they have the final plan that was submitted with the grant.
Discussion: The Nature Work’s playground Equipment grant. Tyler and Erica are still working on footprint. Sent out an email from a concerned citizen concerning replacing the gravel in the play area with rubber mulch. Council reviewed the documents presented and tabled the action.
Leonard Moore property: Will invite him to a council meeting to discuss trimming of the trees and various other issues. Linda sent a letter and there was no response. She will attempt to catch him at the laundromat and give him the letter.
New Business:
Discussion: Linda Campbell inquired to the council if they would be interested in a contract with REA & Associates or any other company about drafting a personnel policy manual.
After some discussion Ted Thorpe made a motion to move forward and authorized the expenditure in the amount of $3,500.00 Dick Patterson seconded, with all others approving, motion carried

Discussion: Erica Ash brought up that the artwork on the square needs to be redone. Holley Johnson informed her of a grant called Art Rise. After some discussion the council and mayor thought it might be best to table this until we know what is going to happen with the Appalachia grant.
