Discussion: Leaf pick up is going well.

Park Report:

Representative’s Name: Rick Allison

Discussion: The back park pavilion is winterized and the front one is still open. Melway completed the parking lot. Dugouts are not completely painted. Still need to order the sign for the park in honor of the Shreiner family. Jr Hendrix got an estimate for the materials for the pavilion for field three in the amount of $4,532.36 and ARC construction will donate the labor to construct. Will get materials ordered.

A RESOLUTION SELECTING THE MOST QUALIFIED ENGINEERING FIRM TO PROVIDE PROFESSIONAL DESIGN SERVICES FOR WATER INFRASTRUCTURE IMPROVEMENTS FOR THE VILLAGE OF KILLBUCK, AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY

Discussion: The grant committee met before the council meeting and evaluated the engineering firms for the water project and the street projects. After the review of the scoring the Mayor and the committee recommend to council that they award the water project to the Thrasher Group and award the street project to Quicksall.

Lisa Kauffman made a motion to award the water project to the Thrasher Group and award the street projects to Quicksall, Tyler McCombs seconded, with all others approving, motion carried.

Topic: Village Cleanup

Discussion: Cleanup went very well no tires dumped.

Topic: Trick or Treat and Halloween

Discussion: Went well and the Mayor wanted to thank the Fire Department for organizing it. He also thanked Erica Ash for her paintings on the windows downtown of the five little pumpkins.

Discussion: Will be implementing staff meetings (not implemented yet).

Topic: Truck hitting the curb at Main Street and Purdy Street

Discussion: Identified the company that was responsible and notified the sheriff department. They will keep us informed.

Topic: Insurance Renewal
Presented By: Linda Campbell

Discussion: Cory Miller from Burgett Insurance called and stated that our policy was up for renewal and he would like to renew us through the Public Entities Pool in January they offer better rates for municipalities and offer some safety grants along with bonds. Paid the premium because it is due in November and we will switch policy in January and receive refund for previous policy.
