AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING A ONE-TIME PERFORMANCE BONUS FOR A VILLAGE EMPLOYEE, AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY 

WHEREAS, Village employee Clay Shepler (the “Employee”) has performed his duties in an exemplary manner and has taken great efforts to keep the Village of Killbuck a great place to live, work, and play; and

WHEREAS, it is appropriate to recognize the Employee’s work performance and continued dedicated service to the Village. 

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED, by the Council of the Village of Killbuck, Holmes County, Ohio:

SECTION 1.   It is in the Village’s best interest to recognize the work performance and continued efforts of the Employee. 

SECTION 2.   A one-time performance bonus of $453.86 is authorized to be paid to Employee Clay Shepler.

SECTION 3. The one-time performance bonus specified in Section 2 of this Ordinance shall be paid on or before February 10, 2022.   

SECTION 4.  It is hereby found and determined that all formal actions of this Council concerning and relating to the passage of this Ordinance were adopted in an open meeting of this Council, and that all deliberations of this Council that resulted in such formal action were in meetings open to the public in compliance with all legal requirements, including Section 121.22 of the Ohio Revised Code.  This Ordinance is hereby declared to be an emergency measure necessary for the immediate preservation of the public peace, health, and safety, such emergency arising from the need to allow adequate time to process the bonus payments on or prior to February 10, 2022.  Accordingly, this Ordinance shall be in full force and effect immediately upon its passage.
