AN ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING THE MEMBERS OF THE VILLAGE’S BUILDING AND TRAILER COMMITTEE, AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY

WHEREAS, Sections 174.65 through 174.99 of the Village of Killbuck Code of Ordinances regulate mobile homes, house trailers, or similar vehicles for homes or the conduct of business (the “Mobile Homes and Trailer Regulations”); 

WHEREAS, the Village of Killbuck’s Mobile Home and Trailer Regulations provide for certain actions to be taken by the Village’s “Building and Trailer Committee”; and 

WHEREAS, the Village wishes to designate the members of the Building and Trailer Committee to be three members of the Village Council, appointed by the Mayor. 

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED, by the Council of the Village of Killbuck, Holmes County, Ohio:

SECTION 1. The Village of Killbuck’s Building and Trailer Committee shall be comprised of three members of the Village Council, appointed by the Mayor. 

SECTION 2. This Ordinance is hereby declared to be an emergency measure, necessary for the immediate preservation of the public peace, health, or safety, for the reasons that the Village needs to immediately define the members of the Village’s Building and Trailer Committee so that such Committee may take timely action pursuant to the Village’s Mobile Homes and Trailer Regulations. 

SECTION 3. It is hereby found and determined that all formal actions of this Council concerning and relating to the passage of this Ordinance were adopted in an open meeting of this Council, and that all deliberations of this Council that resulted in such formal action were in meetings open to the public in compliance with all legal requirements, including Section 121.22 of the Ohio Revised Code.
